For landlords

Keep electrical responsibilities clear and organised.

EICRs, remedial work and property electrical improvements with practical communication throughout.

Property safety

Inspection with useful next steps.

An EICR should provide more than a pass-or-fail headline. It records the condition of the fixed installation and identifies observations that may require action.

Where remedial work is needed, we can explain the findings and scope the required work. Clear coordination is especially important where tenants, agents or access arrangements are involved.

Current requirements

Government guidance for England requires landlords to have the electrical installation inspected and tested by a qualified person at least every five years, with reports supplied as required. The report may specify a shorter interval. Requirements can change, so always check current guidance.

Plan ahead: Record report dates and start the booking process before an existing report expires, particularly where access needs to be arranged with occupants.

Beyond the inspection

We can also assist with electrical improvements, lighting, installation changes and preparing rented properties for EV charging where appropriate.
